UNCC is not as bad as people make it out to be. I am only in my first semester, and I am in state. So far I have enjoyed my experience for sure. I just transferred and this school is way better than my last school. (although my last school wasn't much at all) The campus is beautiful and the Student Union is awesome. It is true there are a lot of commuters and a lot of people go home on the weekends but there is still enough people to have a good time. There is always bars and clubs to go to any night of the week obviously because you are in Charlotte. Also, with the football team coming in school spirit is starting to increase. I just made the team the other day and all of my friends are so pumped and are ready to tailgate games. I have only had 5 classes here so far so I can't say much about the education, but all of my professors are pretty good. A couple that aren't so amazing but there will be bad professors at EVERY SINGLE SCHOOL. There are plenty of things to do on campus and plenty to do in the city. If you don't think there is then you are not trying hard enough. If you are looking for a school where every basketball game is sold out and school spirit is high like a UNC then Charlotte probably isn't the place for you. If you are unhappy at your current school and are looking for a cheaper solution then UNCC is not a bad idea at all. I am very glad I transferred here, and I feel like the school is heading in the right direction academically, athletically, and school spirit wise.
