The campus is gorgeous! The campus is a good size and the classes are in pretty good range from the dorms. My dorm, Mendenhall for underclassmen I believe is the best dorm. It's a nice size, sink, but you would have to share a closet. UNCG doesn't really have school spirit. Unless you're a huge soccer fan, you don't really care for the sports because they're not that great at basketball. I hate that there is no football team. The cafe food is below avg. Monday through Thursday. Friday through Sunday the food is just awful and the hours switch depending on the staff. Most of the time they close at around 8 p.m. The school is always trying to get money from you. Parking is terrible. I have a car and I have received at least four parking violations the first semester. Hardly any free school items like shirts. The education aspect is pretty good but they focus more on liberal arts like dancing, art, and music majors. They do have a wonderful Business program I think it's rated 13th in the country. For advice, I would say really focus first semester. I know most people say that but it's true. If you don't believe you can make it through a class talk to your adviser ASAP. I waited too long and ended up doing poorly my first semester.
