Wake Forest has its ups but there are many downs.  Lets begin with the ups.  The classes are small, professors are approachable and friendly, the weather is warm, acc athletics are really good, and the degree has value.  Now the downs... there is very little diversity and if that is important to you do not come here.  People are typical of a private school, there are cool people here, but alot have tried so hard to conform that the place is homogeneous.  After the first semester ppl become cliquish and self segregate.  There is nothing to do in Winston Salem, the girls are bitches, the school is overrun by greeks who have the worst parties (on campus do not serve beer anymore), and the grades are deflated like hell.  To make good grades you need to constantly talk to profs and this gets tiresome.  Overall, if you are socially ept dont come here, if you are a shletered rich kid come, but if you are in between its a risk.  youll love it or hate it.  I pretty much hate it.
