For me what sets Drew apart from most schools is its location. Drew's campus is beautiful and serene. The town of Madison is a wealthy New York suburb, and although some may consider Madison dull, there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and a movie theatre within a ten minute walk of the campus (and it also has a Whole Foods). If you like the mall, there is the Short Hills Mall (although you better be loaded because it caters to the very wealthy-even Manhattanites make the trip here) and the Livingston Mall which is more main stream. Both malls are ten minute drives from campus. The area has many headquarters and major centers of large international companies, especially in the pharmaceuticals, technology, and financial sectors. This is fantastic for networking and internships. New York City is a mere 30-40 minute drive. Buses leave from the campus hourly and trains as well (train station is a ten minute walk). NYC is great not just for fun but also for internships. As an Econ major major I plan to do Drew's Wall Street Semester (2 days week commuting into city to take classes on Wall Street and do an intership there). Drew also has a United Nations, Theatre, and Contemporary Art semesters, all with classes and interships in New York. Drew also has amazing off-campus programs around the world (i'm applying for the Brussels Semester for Econ majors as well). Besides location, I have made some great friends here. I rate my education here an A.
