When I first got to MSU, I was excited about the college experience…but all this has changed! I am now transferring to another school after my first year. To sum it all up—I had BAD experiences. Would not send my daughter to this school (if I had one) There is not much to do unless you're in a sorority. I tried pledging one, but I was hazed and tormented—didn't sleep, barely ate for 5 weeks. I have straight A's in all my classes, they are not challenging at all. My English class has students who can barely read or speak English. The classes are small which is nice, but most of the students are not prepared for college level work. I've found the professors to be very knowledgeable and helpful, but they have to lower their standards for some of the incompetent students (which is frustrating) I tried getting involved in some clubs, but most of them are concerning race or ethnic background (I am white) I have made some friends, but found most of the people here to be "partiers" They don't care about school. You pay money to MSU and they give you an A. That's about it. If you want more of a challenge and a good reputable school for when you graduate, go somewhere else!
