Just a few ruminations: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.  My junior year is coming to an end and I am regretting the fact that I only have one year left!  I love Rutgers and will sorely miss this place when I'm gone.  There are so many opportunites here.  Rutgers has a surprisingly good faculty in many departments, including tee Computer Science department, which is my current major.  The student body and faculty are very diverse.  I've met all sorts of people from all around the globe.  The library is terrific, as are the various gyms.  I lived off campus my first two years, and now live off campus in a house with some friends.  This is typical of Rutgers students, but not because on campus housing isn't good, its just hard to get into as an upperclassman, and more expensive.  There are a number of very nice, large parks in and around Rutgers' many campuses as well.  New York City and Philadelphia are each about an hour away by train, and the New Brunswick station is one block from campus.  New Brunswick also has many terrific restaurants.  Ah, but there are a few things to look out for.  You are on your own, for the most part, as far as managing your college career.  There are plenty of advisors and resources available for help, but be warned nobody will be looking over your shoulder.  Rutgers is a large school, and some departments suffer from bureaucracy.  Rutgers has so much to offer, but you have to seek it out.  It won't come to you if you just sit in your dorm room all day.  Explore, make new friends, learn, and grow.  I love this school.  Also, if you visit, have yourself a Fat Darrell.  You'll be back.
