If you are seriously considering attending Seton Hall, think about what you want out of the college. I know that everyone tells you this (or college resources do), but it is true. Seton Hall may have "good" people who actually care about coming to school and pursuing academics, but I also know that many are not here to learn.

Saying this, I would like to acknowledge the fact that even one of the clubs can be called a clique. Certain people are invited to the club parties, many are not, although they are members of the club. As for "academic students", I would like to say that only 1 out of my 5 biology friends studies as much or is as smart as me. I would also like to say that this does not mean I am a bright student, its just that I came to college to learn. NOt to tutor students.

On the other hand, the career center is quite helpful (more than the advisor in your department), as you can talk to a career advisor one on one and there is a tool online to find jobs/internships. Also, Seton Hall has a program where we can talk to alumni and shadow them, or even just talk to them about their job, but I was not able to find many in the health department (which I am looking at).

I really feel that Seton Hall is a waste of $20,000 a year (how much my father pays for tuition/room&board) and I do not learn much. Although my english class had some interesting essay topics(take prof. Burke!), I relearned everything that I learned in high school in my biology 1201 and calculus 1401 class. I thought that we would get more in depth in calc, but we didn't. Also, let me acknowledge the fact that I am the only one who answers the professor's questions although I am also on facebook at the same time.

Also, I had a payment plan where I pay in 4 payments, but because I couldn't pay my last payment on time, I couldn't register for my classes. I talked to the financial aid officer and they just told me "too bad."

Seton Hall also claims to follow its catholic mission and some politicians such Tom Delay were not allowed to come speak at our school. The students are not following the catholic mission much (around me), as sexuality within upperclassmen and freshmen are not rare.
