US News and World Report's "Rankings" mean little. The fact is that Stevens perception by industry and graduate schools is much better than USN&WR would suggest. Keep in mind that their ranking are based upon a popular survey of college presidents and admissions officers, which is an inherently biased group and not representative of the real world accomplishments of Stevens' graduates, which is what really counts. There is no such thing as "too broad". Other schools are too narrow. Stevens stands alone in having the broadest, most well-rounded, most rigorous engineering program available today.
