This is a COMMUTER school! Do not be fooled that there is actually a possibility of a social life at this school. All this university is, is a big community college with the option to live on campus. I lives in overlook south and studying is basically impossible. quiet hour doesn't start until 9pm and that doesn't even matter because you will still have all the rowdy, loud, annoying students yelling down the hallway with the RA doing virtually nothing. This school is listed as only 20% blacks which is a COMPLETE lie! it's atleast 60% but dont get me wrong theres nothing "wrong" with blacks but it just seems like there always in a group of 10 blacks just yelling and being obnoxious.

Everyone goes home on the weekend, its like a ghost town on saturdays. also, the greek life is horrible, none of the frats ever have open parties, its always invite only. The one hockey party I went to was like 30 dudes to 10 girls which made it a complete sausage fest.

Im planning on transferring out as soon as possible. dont get me wrong, during the week is fine because im kept busy with classes, working out, intramural sports, and homework, but once the weekend comes, william paterson university is a barren wasteland.
