Major: Pharmacy (This Major's Salary over time)
It's a shocker to spend all the time, effort and money to get out and work for a chain. RiteAid will offer you a good salary and you will earn every penny with 13 hour/day shifts, no lunch break, minimally trained staff, and 300 script days by yourself without a second pharmacist. Errors abound and you worry about your license. The Board of Pharmacy and Societies tell you to 'get out' and don't work there. They do nothing to hold chains accountable. But, with high college debt where does a new graduate go? You will be told independents can't make it…don't believe them. Set a franchise up next door and provide solid service. You will be successful. Sorry…but, that's the reality of work after 6 years of hard work…hell in the chain.
