The Baruch experience was intermediate. Pretty much, everyone has different experiences at this school depending what you are there for. So basically, my experience fits in the category of a regular, working student who was just there to go to classes and pretty much leave to go home afterwards. I didn't make alot of friends except for if it was in classrooms, since your fellow colleagues can relate to you in regards to the course load and other frustrations. I didn't join any clubs after my experience with the Caribbean Assoc; (I felt the members were unfriendly and anti-social, everyone knew each other HS or something so it was a very tight-knit community that didn't want any newcomers). The faculty were usually satisfactory I never had any dramatic problems because I was always on top of everything. Any small problem that would arise in regards to my tuition, classes/prequisites or grades, I would be on anyone's back because my goal was to graduate and have a smooth transition fron school to the working world. I was previously an accounting major and the professors would tough all around. I think many of them forget that their goal is to teach us the principles of accounting but they make everything so freaking hard to the point that students were crying after receiving the syllabus. I changed to a Human Resources Management major and the professors were so much easier and nicer. Honestly, if you are a non-accounting/finance major your school life would be a breeze, especially for the liberal arts students.
