I will graduate this May - and like many, many others out of the 2,700 who attend Colgate - I am nothing like the comments made by the previous poster who is obviously bitter and should transfer as soon as possible. I am respectful of others' comments but am insulted by the insinuations that are represented by her words. The rest of the student body should be, too. These are reasons why any college earns a poor reputation.

According to USNews, Colgate ranks #4 nationally in the amount of debt for graduating seniors, at $12,000. I received a very generous aid package and am grateful.

It is difficult to believe that administrators would offer such openly harmful, careless remarks to a student about Admissions and Financial Aid practices. That said, Colgate is good and to some it may be great. Colgate does not have the diversity of NYU, but for a small school it is on par with many of its peers.

And to those who want to plug Colgate as dreary, they obviously haven't visited on a colorful fall day, in robust spring, or during a quiet snowfall. My visit to Kenyon left me with a much worse impression.

Hi, I was just reading your post and I saw that you visited Kenyon and you went to Colgate. I'm a junior in high school and going through the whole finding colleges thing right now, and both of those schools are on my list. Would you mind telling me what you did and didn't like about either of them?
