Looking back, Colgate is an amazing place. Full of great professors, stimulating classes, and a true liberal arts experience. There was no limit to the support provided by the administration for innovative ideas. Socially I had a lot of fun, but also was forced into the East Coast prep scene which is difficult to escape.

But, truth is, my four years got the need for party-time out of my system. So post-graduation I was ready to grow up and utilize the liberal arts background to maximum benefit.

I'm of the mentality that current changes to the school are great for the institution. When I went, the East Coast prepsters were the dominant force. So much so, many have a difficult time recognizing their own insular nature. The new programs seem a good step toward progressing the campus experience.

The changes at the university will help bring the social experience of the college more in line with the great academics. Definitely consider Colgate. It's quite a remarkable little school and provides a strong undergraduate background that leaves a lot of doors open for your next steps after graduation.
