I transferred to Colgate from Northeastern about a year and a half ago. The difference (as would be expected) was immense. I really fell in love with the school after a few visits and decided I liked it enough. After getting here I found friendly people and later found entertainment in the social life. I went greek and am sad to say that this last bastion of relief from difficult course work will most likely be playing less and less of a role in the social life of a school with not much else to offer in that arena. I found the reputation of Colgate as a school where people "work hard and party hard" to be pretty accurate when I arrived but can see the wheels have been set in motion by the administration/board of trustees to change this. Keep an eye out for changes at Colgate because the great school I transferred into might not exist in 5 years.
