Fordham is an excellent school in NYC, has a beautiful campus and a great reputation. The kids are, for the most part, alright, but the reality is most of them are Catholic prep school kids from wealthy Catholic families who have lots of money to burn, wear very expensive name-brand clothing, and act like the typical bunch of frat brats you can find up and down the east coast at any number of Catholic universities (mostly Jesuit…). Their daddies get them high-paying jobs right out of school, pay for their expensive apartments, etc., so there's a very unrealistic set of expectations for other Fordham grads. If I had it to do over again, I would choose a less high-profile "name" school, probably not a Catholic school, and one in which the student body was comprised mostly of children of working class families.
