Ok being a student at Fordham my views may be biased but I will only try listing the facts of the school as a commuter student.

Pros:

Academics- The school is centered around the academics. Classes are designed to challenge the student and Fordham does an excellent job doing so.

Campus- The campus is very old and well kept. The campus reminds me of Hogwartz from harry Potter. The campus is well landscaped and the classes for the most part are moderm.

Reputation- This school has a great reputation. The college has ranked in the top schools!

Students- For the most part students are extremely well educated. Those who complain that the student body is mixed in terms of intelligence, it is. This is college obvisally people will not all be on an equal basis of intelligence.

Cons-

Outside the campus the area is literally improvished. But the people keep to themselves.

THE CAFETERIA SUCKS! Case Closed food is AWFUL I go to Arthur Ave or Pugsley's. Food here is bad so be prepared to enjoy your nights at White Castle or on Arthur Ave eating Italian.

The Financial Aid needs immediate improvement. Out of all the cons this must be priority number one. I don't mind paying 30 grand a year for school but to have to be denied the right to register for classes due to a financial aid assistance incompetence I wasn't able to register. The financial aid office may need mre employees or a new staff. But the fact that they can not handle paperwork timely and efficently just demonstrates why Fordham has had problems in reaching top schools.

Overall-

Overall the school is a great school I commute from Long Island and I have amazing friends here. The school is gorgeous, the classes are difficult but rewarding. The school itself is an academic power house and I am glad I am attending such a fine instituion.
