Do your homework before you choose Iona. I am so unhappy with my experience here. Iona is putting up a new dorm, for future students, but cutting back on services for current enrolled students that are paying enormous tuition and fees.

I'm leaving in May, 2015 - because I know now I won't get my Return on Investment, more importantly, my parents return on their BIG investment in me.

Iona lacks effective on-going advisement and academic support services for current students. The turnover of staff members is so high - a major problem at Iona. Adjunct Faculty members are hard to find - if you need help with problems you are experiencing in their coursework.

Do a lot of homework - make sure you just don't go on a guided set-up tour and/or Open House - please spend a day in classes, stay over night - in the dorm, then you will understand where I am coming from.

Iona sells you on being close to the NY city, but where are the jobs? Internships? Iona's President is not focused on helping the current students.

I wish I spent more time doing research and homework on Iona before I enrolled. As other raters suggested - ask for details and reports - and ask to see updated statistics on graduation rates, retention rates, and employment rates and salaries for Iona graduates. Ask where recent and young Alums are employed and what is the salary range they were offered? I wish I did. Compare the Men's Basketball Coaches salary and current President's salary to the Professor's salary, and you will understand why Iona College will not be able to "Move the World" - their new slogan.

Iona can't "Move The World" until they fix what is broken inside the walls of their vastly under functioning campus.
