Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I am graduating from Iona in a few weeks. If I had the chance to do it over again, I never would have enrolled at Iona. I met great friends, but the new President and his staff don't care about the students. The President is removed from campus life and the needs of the students. Staff members are not happy, the morale is so low, and the turnover is so high. Instead of attending an open house or Iona tour, attend Iona's job fair. There are very few Fortune 500 companies. I had some good teachers who cared, but the President is behind his office door worrying about basketball. He is not getting graduates jobs, and not getting students jobs on-campus to learn job skills. The current upper level management should have worked in corporate first, to learn people and management skills, team work, and relation-building abilities, because this President and his upper staff sure don't know how to run a college. Iona is falling apart. Look closely, ask questions, and ask for data, before you ever consider attending Iona. When there is a lack of caring and communication, there is a lack of commitment and dedication. The President and his close staff are getting paid big salaries, while letting Iona sink and crumble. The President and his staff should start living the mission. I wanted to transfer out of Iona, but I needed to attend a college close to home.Don't throw your hard earned money away at Iona. Compare the President's salary and his top staff to Adjunct Professors, Counselors, etc. and you will see why Iona is not taking care of students, their customers.
