I, like so many other posters, will be leaving Iona College. I know, attending college, learning how to work independently, is very important, but why pay $50,000 a year in tuition for that? I wanted a college-life for my money, I wanted a college, that offers a strong academic environment, one that cares about students. Iona's priority, and only priority is MONEY. When the top Administrators don't care, it trickles down to all staff members. I also read - an article on Iona's ranking -and it's disgraceful, and the graduation rate is even more laughable. What is the President doing to increase retention and graduation? Answer: Not much. All he does is buy property and build dorms.Who is going to want to enroll at a college with such low rates? I'm getting out of Iona - asap - in a few weeks, and I can't wait. I made a mistake - I looked at the campus, and didn't look on the inside. Please ask questions.Iona is mismanaged, "MOVE The World" - so many students are moving out - that's the only moving being done at Iona.If the President and his staff don't care, and their the leaders, morale will be terrible. Some staff members are so unfriendly and treat the students like they are an interruption, and we pay them. Iona won't be getting anymore of my money - for limited services.
