Maybe it was my fault for not looking into this school more before I enrolled, but it's honestly the most boring school ever. It's like 99% commuters so no one stays on campus if they don't have to aka literally nothing happens on the weekends. I'm from Boston, so I can't go home every weekend like everyone does who dorms (which I don't understand… why are you paying for room & board if you never stay?). The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. The heat only works in 50+ degree weather so you're windows always open but the garbage truck comes at 5am to do it's thing so that's a nice little touch. If you want a social life, don't come here. Everyone's already friends with each other from high school or whatever else, I have some friends in classes but we never do anything because they're never ON campus! THE FOOD IS LITERALLY THE WORST EVER. It's seriously so bad no one understands until they experience it- LUCKILY there's a Moe's, Wendy's and Chipotle down the street. The classes aren't at all challenging, the professors are wicked lazy and so are the students. I feel, education-wise, I'm still in high school. There are no good clubs or things outside of the school. The only up-sides I can think of are the shows that are brought to the Tilles Center and the campus is pretty. SO basically, if you're from Long Island, want to commute & don't really care about making friends or having a solid education then I definitely would recommend LIU Post.
