The
School of Business has not provided credit for internships for
the past couple of years. I have had 3 internships
that I found on my own and had to juggle
with my course load since I was not receiving credit.
I originally thought that It would be better since then
I could find a paid internship. Well besides the summer
months, it is extremely difficult to do so! I did
have great work experiences though, and they were very flexible
with my hours. But this is in no thanks to
MC. I did love my college experience other wise.
Classes were not too too difficult and I was able
to focus alot on the social aspect of college....ahem.. bars...
College is really what you make of it. I was
blessed to have amazing friends who love to have fun
as well. If you are someone who loves to have
fun, wants a smaller school with easy access to the
city, this is for you!! They are currently building more
dorms which is a major plus, since after your soph.
yr there was a huge shift to live off campus.
While that is great and all, it is completely different
and you are no longer is a building with hundreds
of kids, you may live in some riverdale shithole or
nice apartment but it isnt the same! I did find
a huge house to live in with other girls, so
it was a great two years till graduation. But my
dorm life in Horan Hall the first two years was
definitely a fabulous time! You really do get creative with
the ways to sneak things in.,..i.e. beer, other people.
**Disclaimer**
There are rumors that Manhattan College is on its way
to becoming a DRY CAMPUS. If you find out this
is true, then screw it and go to Fordham. They
will find any way possible to squeeze every ounce of
fun out of your night if they know that you
are not allowed to be drinking on campus....Or just move
off campus after freshman year**
