I agree with what everyone is saying.  The costs are high, and many many students fight with the financial aid department.  I was almost finished with my first quarter when I finally received my check.  Do an online search for the mercy college newspaper and go to nces (College Navigator) to see the high drop out rates.

The online program is Blackboard which is confusing and outdated.  It's been thrown out of San Francisco State University already.  Mercy College is horrible!  I didn't see the many problems until into my second quarter.  The head of my program is leaving, the president of the school is leaving, and the Direct and Integrated Marketing program has been cancelled.  Many students are left in the dark and held responsible for babysitting the staff in our records, grades, and financial aid.  calls and emails are left unanswered..  all the way up to the Dean!  In only two quarters, I had three holds on my registration, waited over 6 months for my financial aid, the staff lost my recommendation letter and my online application, and I was threatened to be dropped fromt he program because my professor claimed I didn't turn my work in.  Many students are unhappy, and half have already left the program in the first quarter.  The ones that have stayed say they are there because there is no other online degree the same as the one offered at Mercy.  Don't waste your time or money on Mercy College.  They are overpriced for the quality of education and super low level of service.  I am transferring out after the school basically said they would drop me this week.  They're a bunch of morons.  I hope more students find this research.  It was hard for me to find.  Spread the word that Mercy College sucks!
