NAU is great… for the right person. The surroundings in why people live in Flagstaff. It is not Phoenix for many reasons. The main reason why some leave after the first year is they do not fully understand Flagstaff is great for only the right people. It gets cold. The town does not provide 24/7 entertainment. What NAU excels at is: personalized instruction, the small university atmosphere, a friendly student population, a club or organization for everyone, a faculty that cares, a growing residential campus, and amazing new buildings.Plus, I think the weather is amazing.
