I have had my ups and downs with many different areas of Pratt. I would say that the only departments that live up to any of these negative reviews are any department dealing with money for example Financial Aid and the Registrar. The kitchen staff has recently become friendly as most of the employees are on there 4th year or more. That at once seemed to be a problem. Worst part of Pratt is the security. I have never had a problem with safety at Pratt but the security must be the most rude uncaring people i have ever met. Mainly because there are only about few PRATT SECURITY employees, the rest are hired through an agency. If your thinking about applying and having an interview at Pratt. I would suggest bringing that to the advisors attention. All negative comments aside. I have had the best 4 years at Pratt. It transitioned me into a long life here in NYC and put me at a job that seemed only like a dream or part of movie.A lot of students never experience pratt they only touch the surface. If your interested in burrowing in your dorm room and being anti-social, do not come to pratt in order to succeed you need to pull yourself out of the cave and gain experience.
