there are no words to describe how HORRIBLE AND UNWORTHY this school is. if you are actually considering this school, please, PLEASE reconsider and think about your decision again. you will be very grateful. the core cirriculum is absurd—3 theology and philosophy courses… USELESS. the professors here are less than challenging. if you are looking for professors that actually stimulate your brain, please do not go here. the professors are ridiculously easy (they should be teaching jr high school and high school kids instead). the academics here are ridiculously bad. it is definitely not worth spending 15k per semester going here. the students here are commuters, there is no excitement on campus, and the students do not even care about school here. i am in my classes and i find i so very absurd that they expect the professor to pass them if they just showed up to class once. they expect to get all the notes from someone and expect to pass. the students here are stupid lunatics that dont give a damn about their education. they are lazy, unmotivated, undetermined. the professors are fuckin easy, and they cant even manage to go to class and get an easy A. pure foolishness. and let me tell you, almost every class you will find someone like this. and…they are full of excuses. they miss class because they are supposedly "sick" and they miss a huge test. they expect the professor to give them a make up quiz, when they very clearly stated at the beginning of the semester that there are NO MAKE UP EXAMS. i came here, and when i noticed the lack of motivation within the students, i knew that i wanted to leave right away. I HAD TO GET OUT OF THIS place. you would rather spend your couple thousand somewhere else. literally the professors here are jokes. i sit in class and i wonder where they got their education from. becuase…they bore the students to death. no stimulation of the brain whatsoever. the students—ignorant people who waste their parents money by skipping class and think that they will magically get that A or B by showing up to the last few classes at the end of the semester. i basically summed up what the student environment will be like. i urge you…do not come here. the financial is fuckin crappy as well. you would think that since you are paying so much, at least the campus resources and technology would be HALF decent, but it is NOT EVEN CLOSE. the printers and the computers in the library are always fuckin slow and jammed. the campus is pretty much LIFELESS looking…borderline depressing, even. it is horrendously disgusting and the food is ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS as well. the food at marillac hall is OVERPRICED and all the foods are way too small and filled with carbs and calories. for one SMALL granola bar is was freakin 1.20. RIPOFF. here, you will see many students smoking up their cigarettes, blowing it in your face, and…need i say more?? students are lugging around a cup of coffee here, becuase all the professors are so damn boring and lifeless. you need SOMETHING to stimulate your brain in class, so it might as well be coffee, right? i would have to say the only major that they give some attention to is the pharmacy program. and that program to me, is even absurd. everyone that is academically average…maybe verging on the bright side is a pharm major. everyone else here is unmotivated. i feel like the students here lack energy, a certain willingness to learn. the fin aid is pretty bad. you go into the fin aid office and there is usually a long line because all the students are dissatisfied with the aid they were given (but then again, who wouldnt be? paying so much for a less than exciting education), or filled with students who cannot register for class because they cant pay off what they owe (this is very common—this fuckin university is uproariously expensive), or students are transferring out, and are clearing up their accounts before they leave. trust me, when you come here, you would want to transfer right out. i know so much people who are going to transfer out. (probably 30). even i hear people on the bus contemplating about going to stony, or syracuse. think it thoroughly…if you are thinking about coming here. you are just going to wish that you never came here at all. oh yes…forgot to mention about the WRITING CENTER. oh wow…this place is even more ridiculous. the writing center claims they have BRIGHT ENGLISH MAJORS that can help you with your essays. please…give me a break. all these so-called tutors are dimwits themselves. i went there several times, and i got a tutor who appeared to be dazed and unexcited to assist me in my essay. a tutor is supposed to help you, improve in what you are lacking. the tutors here TELL YOU WHAT YOU FUCKIN ALREADY KNOW. how ridiculous is that?? they took out a mla handbk to make themselves look more educated, maybe waste sometime while they do not give a rat's ass about this. they are sitting on their asses, waiting to get their paychecks at the end of the week. gym is horrible, nasty, and just plain depressing. trust in me…this is all there is to this unchallenging school. horrible professors (who are easy as hell), unmotivated students, for the most part, bad resources, equipment is always broken, food makes you want to gag (and can help you gain a pound per day), campus is horrendous (they try to make the great lawn look pretty, but it is a whole lawn of fuckin weeds), horrible social life…yeahh so here it is for you. i knew that i wanted to leave as soon as i got here. it didnt take me long to make this decision. i thought that i was maybe to quick to judge, and wanted to give myself more time to see if i would like the school. however, gave it a couple more months, and decided that i need to get the fuck outta here. and i am. i am transferring to nyu and could not be fuckin happier.for all you out there…do not make the same horrible mistake that i did, by choosing to enroll at SJU. make RIGHT decision
