St. John's is really what you make of it. It has its pluses and negatives. If you sit there and complain all day every day, you'll hate it. You have to develop a positive mindset.Keep in mind this is a commuter campus. Campus is pretty much dead on weekends, but that's why they changed the schedule around for the 2010-2011 school year.I guess how fun the parties are depend on what you're used to. There are frat parties and house parties. Many of them do get busted by the police so just show up early for drinks. The city is about 40 minutes away using the MTA. Pretty annoying but you get used to it.Classes aren't really hard maybe unless your a science major. I know alot of students that are upper-classmen or have graduated with pretty high GPAs.I would recommend St. John's because no matter what everyone says IT HAS A GREAT NAME. People know of this school. It's in the city. Get an internship in the city junior year (St. John's is really good with helping you with that)I know people interning at MTV, Merril Lynch, etc. Things like that will look amazing on your resume. Only in New York.A lot of successful people have graduated from St. John's. They definitely help you network.
