Overall, I have really enjoyed my first semester at Siena. The classes were harder than expected, but manageable. When it comes to the students, its what you make of it. Yes, I have seen a fair share of white closed-minded upper middle class Long Islanders, but there a plenty of nice down to earth people here. The extracurriculars are lacking, there isnt as much to do on campus as they tell you there is. The housing is getting overcrowded, but I was lucky enough to not be a freshman in a triple. The financial aid is probably my biggest complaint, my parents make so much that I basically got nothing, even though Im paying for my education myself. The biology department is great, as is the science school in general. Its very difficult but the faculty support is good.
