Don't believe the person who wrote the previous comment. He/she must have not made a good group of friends or didn't make the effort to. Like all schools there are friendly, motivated and non-friendly, unmotivated people. From my experience almost everybody was very friendly and approachable. All of my best friends today went to Siena with me. I think the fact that Siena is a smaller school is a very positive aspect because you have a greater sense of community and don't get "lost in the sauce." The chances of people knowing other people's business is more likely since it's smaller but Siena is big enough that not everybody knows each other and small enough that you get the attention you need. Academically I thought Siena was great, especially the science departments. Courses were very challenging (in a good way mostly) and I learned a lot. Professors are always willing to help, even after you graduate. Social life is a great. Yes there is partying and drinking, but what college doesn't? In my opinion if you're not into the party scene then why dorm at any college? To me, Siena is work hard, play hard. People go out and have fun but they also know how to balance their academics and do their best. Overall everyone is here just to have a good time and get a good education. Plus the basketball games are so much fun and induce a lot of school spirit!
