I went to Brockport for the first semester of my Freshman year.  I got a Dean's scholarship to go there and I got into the Honors program.  There are some good aspects of the school, but also some that I don't like.  The high points are that the campus is flat, so you don't have to climb so many hills to get to class.  The campus is small, but not too small.  The food options are plentiful, and the quality of the food is pretty good.  Now for some of the low points.  There is VERY LITTLE to do on the weekends other than go to sports games.  There are some big events/concerts, but other than that, you will be bored out of your mind on the weekend.  The popular majors in that school are Phys.  Ed, Physical Therapy, Dance, Meteorology, and Nursing.  So if you are majoring in one of those things, Brockport might be for you.  There are very few clubs/groups to join on campus, unless you are on one of the school's athletic teams.  Many people go out drinking on weekends because they get so bored.  The only thing that is consistently available to do every weekend is to go bowling or to the movies.  The town is small, but has a Wegmans and a Walmart Supercenter, and Rochester is only about 20 mins.  away.  Overall, I was very disappointed with the school.  The only thing I miss is the Honors program.  I liked the size of those classes and the commitment of the students in the program.
