I had a tremendous experience at GW and would recommend it to anyone interested in attending an urban school with a very sophisticated student body in a very exciting international city. Make no mistake, GW has arrived and is only getting better - it is deemed as one of the country’s elite institutions in a variety of fields. I’m glad I went when I did as I probably couldn’t get in today because of the low acceptance rate. No other school in the world has a location like GW with its proximity to power, and the faculty includes leading experts in the fields of law, international affairs, and politics, among others. The student body is comprised of individuals from all over the world. Yes, many are from privileged backgrounds as other reviewers here have said (don’t get me started on the roommate I had from Turkey who had a brand new Range Rover AND BMW) but I found individuals from a range of socioeconomic levels and backgrounds. Furthermore, I made friends and memories that will last a lifetime and given the chance, wouldn’t trade my experience at GW for anything.
