George Washington is a great mix of a city environment and a campus-y feel. Although there are no set boundaries, you still feel as there is still somewhat of an enclosed area (the six by six square blocks that comprise GW are filled mainly with those affliated with the university). Interest in the university is sky rocketing as is the caliber of students that are being admitted. I used GW as my safety school, and yet found when I got here, it actually was a great fit. If you want to take advantage of a beautiful, clean city while still getting to take advantage of student activites, parties, ect., GW is definitely the place to be.
