I have no regrets in attending GW. It has been a great experience. Although it has been academically challenging, I've learned so much about International Affairs and politics.

Due to the great neighborhood GW is in, there's internships galore in the fields of economics, international affairs, political science, journalism, and international business. These internships are incredible, and GW has good career services which can get you semester internships. I have a good job next year, and I think that my resume was made much stronger by these internships. While most other students only have summer internships or have to take semesters off to have them, GW students can have internships at places like The World Bank and Capitol Hill while also taking classes at the same time.

The students are friendly for the most part. I was afraid that everyone would be too rich or snobby due to the high tuition, but that's not the case. It's a fairly diverse campus, and a relatively large amount of people are on financial aid, so I've made friends pretty well. Since GW is so geographically diverse, there's not going weren't lots of people from one high-school. There were no cliques. Everyone(for the most part) is a fish-out-of-water freshman year, and we all leaned on each other to do well. I wouldn't give up my freshman-year dorm experience in Thurston for the world! I met so many people and got involved with some great student organizations.

GW isn't for everyone, but I would say that for the most part, everyone has benefited from the academics and enjoyed the city outlets(the arts, festivals, concerts, shopping,sight-seeing) that DC has to offer.

The campus is in Foggy Bottom, so it's not spread out like NYU. Once you are on the GW campus, it's obvious. However, getting off campus is really easy because there's a metro stop near One Washington Circle.
