I basically did nothing I earned a 3Apr 21 2011Business - Management and Administration
I basically did nothing; I earned a 3.3 GPA in H.S. a 20 on the ACT applied online for free and I was in. But don't be fooled the students here are very intelligent and resourceful and NU encourages that in a roundabout way. I love the mission statement and the core values here and most people adhere to them.

My situation was a little bit different than the normal way of getting in. I just finished my freshman year of college and I wanted to transfer because I absolutely hated my old school and I wanted to play more competition in my sport. I knew I wanted to play in the GLIAC because it's one of, if not the most competitive Division II league there is in the nation. I had heard about NU and how great the education was here so I contacted the coach and got a release form to go try out during the summer time. He liked what he saw, and offered me a scholarship on the spot. I really didn't look at any other schools from then on (which I kind of regret). That's how I ended up at NU. From what I heard, it's not too hard to get in because NU is always looking to grow in enrollment. I had a 2.9 after my freshman year and didn't have a problem but I think my coach had something to do with that.

To get into Northwood the only criteria is the ability to pay tuition. I slacked hard in high school and graduated with a 2.7, Northwood could have cared less what my gpa and ACT scores were. I now carry a 3.2 here with minimal effort.

I went in with a 3.5 and 26 and got an amazing scholarship! It's private and nonprofit and gives you great money if you qualify.
