To become a registered nurse means you need to decide which nursing school you are going to attend and which degree path you want to take.

To become a registered nurse you need to complete at least two years of college. Some universities offer two year nursing programs, but most offer four year programs for individuals seeking their Bachelors Of Science In Nursing

Besides attending school for at least two years to become a registered nurse you will also need to complete an internship in a clinical environment. You could find your self working at a local hospital or you could work in a doctors office.

Already have an associates or bachelors degree in another area of study?

For existing associates and bachelors degree holders in an area of study outside of nursing there are options available to becoming a registered nurse with out having to complete a full two year or four year problem in nursing. Accelerated Nursing Programs offer existing associate or bachelors degree holders the option to become a registered nurse in half the time as new degree seekers. Associate and bachelor degree holders can become a registered nurse in as little as 12 months.
