Southwest Missouri State University, now called Missouri StaQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Southwest Missouri State University, now called Missouri State University, has lost a lot in the last 30 years. I've quit hiring from this school. There's a level of critical thinking, attention to important details, and ability to work in a facts and issues based environment that does not seem to be available in graduates from MSU anymore. They run on what I would consider middle school tactics and playground type delivery. For some, I'm not sure how or why they were given a diploma. It certainly does not show as being an educated person.

SMSU is a bad choice for anyone interestedBrightFinance
SMSU is a bad choice for anyone interested in employment outside of Springfield, MO. This is especially true if the student intends on seeking employment in the Kansas City or St. Louis markets upon graduation. Preference is given to KU and MU graduates in this market, and the students decision ot attend SMSU may be viewed as a character flaw to some employers.

Furthermore, on campus recruiting is extremely weak. Most of the major employers recruit heavily at MU or KU but do not spend much time at SMSU.
