I feel that I could get the sameAverageNursing
I feel that I could get the same level of education at a state school. Way too expensive and full of rich, stuck up people. Everyone here is conformed and I don't see a lot of creativity or students trying to be different. There is a lot of things that I would change about this school and a lot that I disagree with. They even make you buy the books new from their bookstore because they make them "custom" so it is more expensive.

SLU has a wonderful nursing program.Quite BrightNursing
SLU has a wonderful nursing program. I love the holistic vision of healthcare and treating the overall person: mind, body, and their soul.SLU has prepared me to be an amazing nurse and be able to utilize therapeutic communication. I thought IPE was useless until I got into my first job. I had a better transition into my work environment thanks to the Ethics, research, working with other professionals, and understanding medicare/medicaid classes. I can tell I a SLU nurse immediatley because of the development of their character and passion for nursing. I think certain people are drawn to SLU nursing. If you are passionate about making a difference and a holistic individual, this is the program for you! I really feel that I have become a woman to serve others. In general, SLU was a great experience. I joined many organizations and met people from around the country who I still keep in contact with. I loved SLU and I hope you do too.

Getting involved at slu is pretty easy.AverageNursing
Getting involved at slu is pretty easy. Going greek was a really good choice for me and it opened many doors to social activities and academic help. If I could change something about SLU it is that the housing department/office is HORRIBLE. They lost my housing deposit, and when I called they were very rude over the phone. I know that many other students are having a lot of issues with registering for housing as well. Live off campus after freshman year if possibleThe nursing program is great! It is very difficult but you learn a lot, and feel prepared for what comes in the future.
