The Gamma Theta chapter at Hampton University was founded in 1947 and has continually worked in service for the Hampton University community. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. (Rho Alpha Chapter) sorority  Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. was founded January 16, 1920 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C by Arizona Stemmons, Myrtle Tyler Faithful, Viola Tyler Goings, Pearl A. Neal and Fannie Pettie Watts.
As the first BGLO on Hampton University's campus Rho Alpha Chapter was chartered on January 26, 1947 and makes it a top priority to hold true to our sorority's principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterly love and Finer Womanhood.
