The very first thing I noticed about the University of Montana is how friendly everyone is, including staff, faculty, and students. They are all very warm and personable, as well as helpful. Most of the instructors are very accessible out of class, and all of them are very glad to help you!

The campus is stunning, and was actually voted the most scenic campus in the nation by Rolling Stone Magazine! The buildings are centralized around a huge "oval", a grassy open space for students to chill. In the warmer months, it is constantly occupied with people playing frisbee, studying, playing guitars, or just hanging out.

I am a music education major, and I couldn't be more happy with my department. All the people who are involved in music are friends, and there's not a presence of competition. People just strive to do their best, and have a great time doing it!!

UM is a great place. I came over here from Seattle, and I have never regretted my decision!

questionHey so I have a low GPA of about 2.7, pretty high test scores (SAT 1570, ACT 25) and plenty of extracurricular support (leader of 2 clubs); could i get in to U of M?
