Describes the student body as: Describes the faculty as:
Date: Sep 25 2003 Major: English (This Major's Salary over time) The school: livable, friendly, generally pretty shallow. The faculty: want to be somewhere else or are here because they're waiting to go somewhere else or because they have settled here—and it is a very "comfortable" place to settle, or, and this is rare—very rare—it doesn't matter, because there are young people here who want to learn, just like anywhere else, and this is just where they—the teachers—happen to be right now. Most of the people (teachers) I liked here are dead. Really, I mean they have died. It's too bad, but that's life, so to speak. But all in all, there is only really one reason to come to this school if you are at all intelligent or want to learn something of a lasting nature, and that reason goes by the name of Roger Kaye. That's all you need to know. If you come, check him out. It's kind of a magical thing. I've been to a lot of schools—really, really—REALLY—GOOD schools in one capacity or another, and this guy is the real thing. There is no substitute. Life engendering.
