The social life used to be great when I started out, but then the city and University started cracking down on parties and anything considered fun and social outside of the prescribed school programs.

People who go to or have gone to UPS often complain about it b/c a lot of students are fairly apathetic (perhaps from the weather?) and will complain about anything (even if things aren't that bad).

I set out to challenge myself any way possible through course selection, etc. and always found that challenge there. Some of my friends chose not to challenge themselves, and that was also fairly accessible. I also actively pursued a social life, which is what you must do at UPS, otherwise you will be stuck in a cycle of studying and going to class, with no real life outside.

The experiences I had at UPS, from classes as well as extracurricular, proved to be invaluable to me. UPS is anything you want it to be and whatever you set out for it to be.

The biggest problem I experienced while at UPS was the relationship between the administration and the students/alumni. They often chose the almighty dollar and the bottom line over the students.
