Hillsdale is a small college. In a cow town. In the middle of nowhere. Still, it has its charms. I had a great time there because of the friends I made. The career guidance department is lacking. Current students have to find their own internships. Graduates can't count on the college's services to find them a job. That's not to say that employers don't like Hillsdale graduates. I found a good job within 2 months of graduation, an especially daunting task since I graduated at a time when my industry was making large cut-backs. I also work in a very political and liberal environment. Although Hillsdale has a notorious conservative stance, I have not found this to be a detriment yet in the workplace. What Hillsdale does best is what it attempts to do first: namely educate students, not train them for jobs.
