George Mason in 10 years will be thought of as one of the top universities in all the country, take my word for that. Mason did not become a university until 1972, and already it has grown tremendously. Not only are the faculty and staff eager to assist the students, but the administration could not be more willing and eager to listen to the concerns and advice from students. Because of this willingness to change, Mason is already one of the most innovative schools in the country. We already have a tier 1 law school, ranked #40 in the nation, a jump of 7 spots in the past year. In comparison, Penn State's law school is tier 3, not in the top 100. As far a undergrad goes, GMU has also been making strong moves to the top. Right now it is one of the top tier 3 schools, and i anticipate that within 2-3 years, it will be in tier 1. Now, Mason has already advanced in some areas, such as undergraduate writing in the disciplines, which ranks schools on creative writing. GMU is ranked #4 in the country in this category, behind Princeton, Harvard, and Yale. This is why George Mason is a very exciting place to be, and I wouldn't transfer even if I was offered a full ride to and Ivy.
