Date: Dec 31 1969 Major: English (This Major's Salary over time) George Mason may be a great school in ten years, but right now being a student there feels like you're just another pay check that the University can use to better itself. However that's not to say that they use their money wisely. This past semester, (fall 2004), there were constant break-ins to the new university computer system and many students identities and credit card information was stolen. If you have any problems with the school, expect to be shuffled from one secretary to the next without getting any help. A friend that works in admissions tells me that they constantly lose applications for prospective students, so if you are going to apply you may want to double check they have your application. All in all, I wouldn't wish a George Mason education on anyone, but I understand that we can't all go to the schools we really want to, and in that case George Mason provides a cheap and flexible alternative to community college.
