I absolutely loved the place. I met amazing people and I learned how to think. I work with HS students now, so I know first hand that most of them aren't actually interested in how well a school teaches you to think. For those who do believe that exploring ideas is their top priority for college, I can't imagine a better place. And most people who go to Carleton work hard but are pretty happy.

An intangible benefit—Carleton has very little of the "Harvard effect." When you tell people where you went to school, you don't have to be mumble or worry about seeming snooty—most folks haven't heard of it.
