National University is not for whimps! I have had more than my fair share of experiences in traditional schooling and distance learning. I’m telling you, if you are lazy, do not go to any school at all. National University is a great school. The faculty and administrative staff are efficient and friendly. The course work is grueling because they give you enough to do, you will never be bored. You can even make it more so by being more involved in the course content. The chat sessions, threaded discussions and projects allow you to be more creative. Yes, there is some wiggle room, but don’t wiggle too much because you are only cheating yourself out of a good education. Traditional schools, in comparison to National, often times leave you at least two months of non-productivity or inactivity (and that is not counting Spring Break). I am not putting down, regular schooling, but I think that it is best at the social aspect… making personal connections. However, that is also dependent on what school you are attending. For example, in San Jose State, practically 90% of the student population have very little time to be sociable because most of them have full time jobs and families to go to. At National, you can also make connections with your classmates and the instructors are knowledgeable and a great source of information. They also use the latest technology in online communication, which I find essential especially today, when most forms of communication are held in this manner. So if you are considering National University, be prepared to work hard.
