I went there for three years. Its not a bad school academically after your first year classes get more challenging. There are not many clubs or opportunities to get involved outside of student government and the campus activities board. There really is nothing to do on campus. And nothing to do off campus unless you have a car. Its a small school so sometimes it will feel like high school. The food is good, but they have admitted more students than the cafeteria can handle so the lines are long, and sometimes it is difficult to find a table. The campus housing is pretty decent they offer many options, too bad having your own room is a hard to get. A lot of the professors will give you busy work. You will write a ten to fifteen page paper your freshman year, and you will hate it, but you will be glad that everyone has to do it at least. The professors are approachable and will usually accomadate you if you are having a difficult situation. They pride their selves on wanted their students to pass their class. It kinda has a junior college feel because so many students come there with the intention to transfer. There is a family like atmosphere for the most part. Even if you see someone outside of school, when they find out you go to CBU you guys will feel like you share some bond and will help each other out usually. I have got discounts at department stores and restaurants when my fellow students were working there. Anyway not a bad school if you have a car, and were the token kids in high school… if not and you couldn't wait to get out of high school so you could meet a more diverse group of people… don't go to CBU!
