I would seem to be the stereotypical Harding Student. Conservative, Christian, and white. However, Harding is not as it appears when you are being given the admissions speil. The rules will drive you nuts! I am not a partyer, in fact I am in my room every night at 10, however, the fact that there is a curfew all four years is silly! Also, to live off campus you practically have to do acrobatics to get approved. Chapel and Bible classes get old quickly, and when they do you also realize they are required every semester. KNOW ALL THE RULES BEFORE ENROLLING!!!

While many are friendly, if you are out of state (or live outside the south) it will be a huge culture shock and may find it hard to interact with the people from Arkansas.

You can pledge club your Freshman year, which in my opinion is not a very good idea. Pledge week is within the first 2 months of school right when you are starting to get to know everyone. Suddenly, everyone you have gotten to know has gone to a different clique (read club) and it becomes harder to develop a close friendship. If you go to Harding, join a club. Don't think you can go there without being in club, because if you don't do club you are alienated and there isn't much to do.

Harding seemed like it would be a good fit for me, but it isn't. I am transferring to a school where the rules aren't so strict and you don't have a bedtime when you are a senior.
