I though Webster U was going to be a high quality school that would be well worth the money when I transfered here. I've had some great instructors (some average), and the campus is fine, but customer service is a foreign concept here. My recruitment tour was full of promises that WU ended up not delivering on. The Peer Tutoring Program is very poorly managed (good luck getting a tutor that keeps appts), the Financial Aid office is understaffed and hard to get appointments with (as is the Academic Advising office), and you are absolutely treated like a number here. No one returns phone calls; they push using e-mail for everything but usually don't respond in a timely manner or fully answer your questions. If you do complain, even upper-level staff are basically unconcerned. The $495/tuition hour rate (among the highest in Saint Louis) would be acceptable if the services you're promised were actually carried out well. I think the university has forgotten that students PAY to attend and are customers. Know what you are getting into before you sign on and are stuck(beware of the glittering sales pitch when you tour campus).
commentI have had the same experiences with Webster University. Classes are good but my financial aid and academic advisors stink. Those departments are a waste of money for the school since they are not helpful at all.
