The students have the tendency to be extremely close-minded and judgmental. It is very easy to feel extremely alienated there. SPU prides itself on having a very strong sense of community, which for some people is very true, but for others it is easy to feel like you were back in middle school. The cliques are out of control and it makes the entire experience of being there not as good as it should be for the amount of money that one is paying for it. The faculty, however, is generally amazing. The class sizes are very small and intimate, and it is very easy to get to know your professors on a more personal level.
