I'm a freshman here at OU. I've been here nearly half a semester and have seen a lot.

First, I live on campus. The dorms are nice, and the surrounding area is beautiful with a lot of wild life and trees. It is a large campus, but the buildings are are accessible with a ten minute walk. Very scenic campus.

Social life here is good, not great. On the weekends a lot of people go home, but if you decide to stick around, I hope you like to party because that is the only thing to really do around here. Partying is best right across the street in the Beacon Hills Apartments, although you can party in the student apartments as well. You can't party in the dorms because there is nightwatch and they are pretty strict, but if you want to drink with a few friends and keep the noise down, you will be fine. Just don't be stupid. I've had a great time socially meeting new people and hanging out here at OU.

Academics are pretty good as well. I'm only a freshman, and most of the classes are small, but there are some lecture halls. As you move on, you will be in larger classes. I think this is set up well for a transition out of high school for freshman.

Overall, OU is a good school. It's worth the money IMO.
